SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND METRONAK IN THE PRESS
President of the Board of Metronak International Transport Yılmaz Bal stated that they had delivered the aid material to Pakistan that suffered earthquake disaster free of charge.
Bal stated that their aim was to repay the debt of the Turkish people to Pakistan that had aided them years ago and said: “ Turkish people will aid much more than the aid they had received. We will also do our share and deliver the aid material to the locations of need in the most speedy way. This is our obligation.” Bal also stated that they had delivered the aid material of various charity organizations to Pakistan until today and said that there was no transportation to Pakistan and the deliveries undertaken by now were realized under difficult conditions and as transshipments. He further said: “ As we know that the deliveries are aid material, even under these difficulties, we are delivering them to our brothers Pakistani people. This was made possible by our dedicated colleagues at the transshipment points. Up until now we have delivered aid material of various organizations by 15 vehicles and we are stil continuing to do so.”
Indicating the difficulties caused by not being able to deliver the aid material directly, Bal pointed out that the matter should be given urgent consideration and, until this situation comes to an end, necessary buraucratic measures should be taken for deliveries of aid material between the two countries.”
